Jarvis explained, “I am really excited to host my own show on ‘We Are Barnsley.’

“Over the course of the two hour show, I will interview the Barnsley-born Wolves Manager, Mick McCarthy, the author Milly Johnson and local singer Hayley Youell will sing the show out.

“I will also be playing songs that are important to me as well as some Christmas songs and answering questions from listeners live on the phone.”

“I am delighted that a podcast of the show will be sent to Barnsley Hospital and will be aired over the Christmas period. As well as that, on behalf of the town that I represent, I will be sending a message to our troops on the front line too. I plan to send the podcast directly to troops serving in Afghanistan.

“This is a great opportunity for people across our town to take part in a unique radio show that can be heard by all in our town and our brave troops. I hope as many people as possible will take part and show what a brilliant place Christmas is in Barnsley.”
