Dan Jarvis MP - GP Appointments in Lundwood

I am aware that there are issues with GP appointment availability at the Barnsley Healthcare Federation (BHF) Practice at Priory Campus, Lundwood.

I also know that the issue of a lack of GP appointments is not unique to Lundwood, or to Barnsley. There is a national crisis in GP recruitment and retention, and I firmly believe that we need a commitment from central government to deliver more doctors, practice nurses and support staff in order to meeting rising demand. I have always worked to ensure our NHS gets the funding it needs and deserves.

I have raised the issue of a lack of appointments in Lundwood directly with BHF and Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group and I will continue to work with the community to ensure that waiting times are reduced and everyone gets to see a doctor within a reasonable waiting time.

I would be grateful if you could get in touch if you have experienced problems with getting an appointment at BHF Lundwood – to provide me with a solid base of evidence to inform the work I am doing. You can do so in writing to Dan Jarvis MP, Constituency Office, Corporate Mailroom, PO Box 634, Barnsley, S70 9GG; via email to [email protected]; or by calling my Barnsley office on 01226 787 893.
